Let the Circus Come To You
What your trainers are bringing to the class is so amazing. They are so positive and inclusive with all the students, and while it may not always look like it to them the students are really, really enjoying it. The staff are also enjoying seeing what different things they will try, and so on.
Thanks again for working with me to bring this opportunity to my class.

I have noticed something that is difficult to track but in my opinion is more important than anything else and that is joy. Seeing the joy on the students' faces when they know it's circus day, when it's their turn to go to circus, when they show me a new skill or even just tell me about a new skill is priceless ...
Anything that gives our students that felt experience of happiness and joy will also foster feelings of hope. With circus, it’s the hope that they will get better at something if they keep trying, that they absolutely can do something they thought they'd never be able to do and that things that are amazing are within their reach. In the beginning, I loved the idea of the skills being learned in circus somehow being able to be transferred to the classroom, but I realised recently that what I have noticed is even bigger and more important than that.
